Tools and Converters

This zip files contains the files and instructions necessary to setup Geany for ULP editing. Geany is a very lightweight GTK based text editor commonly used under Linux and Mac operating systems. This is only a beta, but I find it very helpful to when writing ULPs.

This file is an update to the language file created by Neil Allison. All credit goes to Neil for initially creating the file. The only thing I did was add the new ULP functions implemented in V6 of EAGLE.

LPCXpert V2.2: PinMux Tool for LPC1000 & LPC4000 Family of Micro-Controllers LPCXpert V2.2 is a new release of the Pin Muxing Tool for the LPC1000 and LPC4000 series of devices, with new and enhanced features. This tool now supports about 200 different CORTEX-M0, CORTEX-M3 and CORTEX-M4 based controllers from NXP. New features include Schematic Symbol generation for the ALTIUM Designer and the CADSOFT EAGLE V6.2. New features also include project generation for IAR Embedded Workbench (EWARM), Keil µVision and GNU C-Compilers, as well as links to Internet Sites for additional information. With LPCXpert it is possible to configure the pins of a peripheral as a set (i.e. for SPI, CAN., I2C, EMC, ETH, ...) and to configure all features of the pins. Based on this configuration LPCXPERT may generate a C-Code Project or a Schematic Symbol. Updated: Convert Eagle Schmatic to Protel/Altium. Previously fixtext (added by heiko NOV 2009) replaced '%' with an '_', (e.g. 10k/1_) Changes: optimize ConvString to use strsplit, escape '%' with '%%', and removed fixtext. Also Component Designators can have '%' in name. Why would they.. but they can.

Updated script to add more colours to the Layers color dialog box. Eagle can display up to 64 color but the Eagle default is 16. Originally uploaded by Bob Starr from RTZ Audio. Version 1.4 upgrade to a program that generates a bill of materials (BOM) from an EAGLE partlist file and a user database of parts. This program allows many extra fields to be painlessly added to each part in a schematic. Also included is a demo script so that you can easily try out the program, a sample database, and some utilities to assist in generating your own database. New to Version 1.4: Handles Eagle 4x long names when used in conjunction with the newly included ULP, 0MAKEBOM.ULP. MAKEBOM is compatible with both Eagle 3x and Eagle 4x. Handles spurious @ symbols attached to package names that sometimes occur when importing an Eagle 3x project into Eagle 4x. Has semi-automatic installation to simplify the installation process. Please read the file 0readme.txt in the MAKEBOM directory after installation. Installation procedure: 1. Copy the file 01MAKEBOM.EXE into your EAGLE subdirectory 2. Run the file 02MAKEBOM.EXE 3. Eagle Library Search (ESL) is a small freeware routine that enables you to perform a free text search for devices and variants in all your installed libraries. This overcomes some shortcommings (in my opinion) in the search capabilities of the ADD function of the Schematic Editor. BMP2EAGLE converts monochrome bitmap (.BMP) files to a script readable by EAGLE. It does this by simply converting pixels to rectangles. You can use this for adding logos or special drawings directly on your board or schematic layout.

Script cutter utility written in C. You can export any library to script and cut out sections (such as packages, schamatics); use this tool to get one specific of them and import into your library. gensmtpack ver 0.5 is a Perl5 script that will output an Eagle Script that will in turn generate a SMT package. As of version 0.5, two-sided, gull-wing and J-lead packages are supported, as are those dimple-sided resistor packages. Quad-sided packages cannot be generated at this point. The zip file includes a README.txt file (actually the output of the --help option) and a few examples. Have fun and let me know what you think.
